Are you looking for guitar lessons in the Olympia/Lacey area? My name is Chuck West and I'm a beginning acoustic, electric, and bass guitar teacher located in Lacey, Washington offering lessons to both children and adults. I specialize in working with beginners and getting them playing as soon as possible.

With more than twenty-five years of guitar and teaching experience I can design a course of study that's just right for you; whether it's building a broad foundation of skills or just learning your favorite songs.

Guitar Is Fun. If it's not fun why do it? Learning any musical instrument can feel awkward, so it helps to have a teacher who wants you to feel confident and relaxed while you're learning.

Learn to play what you want. Before our first lesson, we'll talk about the music you like. Then I'll design a course of study that will teach you the fundamentals of guitar playing by using your favorite songs as examples.

The lessons will be not-too-easy and not-too-hard. It goes without saying that to play guitar you have to learn guitar but if a path is not working for you then we can try something else. Trying is what is important.

I'll bring my love of music and teaching to each lesson and you bring you're desire to learn. Playing guitar is fairly easy and very rewarding. Once you get started you may never stop!

Both kids and adults, ages five and up, can learn to play. Many guitar teachers avoid teaching kids. Some lack training, some lack patience, and some just prefer the company of adults. I have taught all ages to do many things and teaching children to play guitar is my favorite.
